Young Artists Series: Do Ya Wanna Build A Snowman?

This class is the first of Tin Can Chandelier’s newest series of classes for budding artists. In this class, kids will get an introduciton to basic art concepts while completing a fun project. In this project they will use mixed-media collage and explore the concepts of focal point, symmetry, and assymetry. They will create a snowman character and build a world that tells a story about him/her. It will introduce the concepts of the visual arts as storytelling. In the end, each child will get to share their character and the story behind it. It promises to be fun for everyone!

A variety of materials will be available to help with the kids creations. The picture is only an example of what they might create when they let their imaginations run wild.

Parents can either drop off your child and return at the end of class or stay and join in on the fun.
