In this class\, Ginger Stoops will teach you how to make your own cold-processed soap using an easy recipe that uses simple ingredients. These soap bars have a wonderful\, clean feel and excellent lather. They are made with olive oil and coconut oil\, natural micas for color. Ginger will teach you to create this adorable snowman using simple techniques. \nIn this class\, you will take home three bars of your own creation. You will make the soaps in class\, and can then pick them up in a few days after they are ready to unmold. All materials and equipment are provided for making soap. \nThis class is for adults only due to working with lye\, which can cause severe burns if not handled properly. Please wear clothing that is appropriate for messy projects and closed-toed shoes. \nAge: 18+\nClass limited to 8\, and they fill up FAST\, so be sure to preregister to hold your spot.

DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Ginger Stoops\nPrice: $15 + tax\nAges: 6+\nClass Time: 1 -1 1/2 hours \nThis class is the first of Tin Can Chandelier’s newest series of classes for budding artists. In this class\, kids will get an introduciton to basic art concepts while completing a fun project. In this project they will use mixed-media collage and explore the concepts of focal point\, symmetry\, and assymetry. They will create a snowman character and build a world that tells a story about him/her. It will introduce the concepts of the visual arts as storytelling. In the end\, each child will get to share their character and the story behind it. It promises to be fun for everyone! \nA variety of materials will be available to help with the kids creations. The picture is only an example of what they might create when they let their imaginations run wild. \nParents can either drop off your child and return at the end of class or stay and join in on the fun.\nAll materials provided.
