Ginger will teach you to create these mocha soaps that look good enough to drink\, but don’t. \nIn this class\, you will take home three – four bars of your own creation\, depending on the mold you choose. You will make the soaps in class\, and can then pick them up in a few days after they are ready to unmold. DESCRIPTION:This class is the third of Tin Can Chandelier’s newest series of classes for budding artists. This project goes a little off the beaten path and explores the ancient art of stick weaving. This type of weaving dates back to the paleolithic era and predates any modern form of loom weaving. It is fun\, and you can use the technique to create a range of items from the useful to the whimsical. It is up to your child! Some examples of what they might create include bracelets\, dolls\, snakes\, and small purses\, to name a few. This is a technique I enjoy myself\, and I think everyone else will too! We will be using straws as weaving sticks to make our creations\, and I will have a variety of yarns to play with. \nThe picture is only a few examples of what they might create when they let their imaginations run wild. \nParents can either drop off your child and return at the end of class or stay and join in on the fun.\nAll materials provided.

DESCRIPTION:I have been back in the soap lab again\, and I have to share this one with you! I was looking for a more natural alternative to my favorite grease-fighting dishwashing detergents. I looked at several recipes and did not like them\, so I created my own\, and it works! I have used this soap on pans with tough stains\, and they came off so that they looked like new. This soap is lathery but  does not lather as much as commercial soaps. We all know that lather is just for looks and is not what does the cleaning. The bottom line is that it works! \nThis soap can be bare bones with no scents or colors\, but I will have a selection of plant-based scents and natural clays to add if you like. \nIn this class\, you will take home three bars of your own dish soap. You will make the soaps in class\, and can then pick them up in a few days after they are ready to unmold. Ginger has been spinning for 40+ years and can show you how to get started. In this workshop\, you will use a drop spindle to learn the basics of drafting and twist. You will take home a drop spindle and raw wool to practice. \nGinger will also bring in a few spinning wheels for you to try once you get the hang of it. This is a gateway workshop to other delectable topics in spinning\, like using a spinning wheel\, designing yarn for a specific project\, and spinning ultra-soft exotics like silk\, angora\, and alpaca. It makes a great homeschool project. Class Sizes are small\, so you get lots of one-on-one instruction.
